Greenberg to Speak at Upcoming AAA CEOs Meeting
BOSTON, March 2006 - The American Automobile Association (AAA) has extended an invitation to Paul Greenberg, CCO of BPT Partners, to keynote its annual CEO meeting in Boston in June 2006. The gathering of the 65 CEOs of the automobile clubs has a CRM theme this year and Greenberg was chosen for his wide knowledge of various aspects of CRM.
"I'm honored to do this one," said Greenberg. "We've been members of AAA for a decade and my parents were members before me, so this one has a special significance. I wonder if I'll be able to get a discount after the speech" grinned Greenberg.
Tanner Speaks at Sales Executive Roundtable
KENNESAW, February 2006 - Tanner answers "What is the Future of Selling?" as he discussed the findings of a year-long in-depth study of over 100 sales executives across three countries when he presents The Future of Selling to the Sales Executive Roundtable of Kennesaw State's Center for Professional Selling, February 24. One clear question for the future is how sales-driven companies can transition from SFA to CRM. "Sales executives, at least those from less successful companies, think sales technology has plateaued," says Tanner. "More successful companies are finding ways to integrate their old SFA into their new CRM."
"Student-for-Life is the Key" Says Greenberg at UCEA Marketing Conference
SARASOTA, February 2006 - "Understanding the student-for-life is the key to optimizing the value you will receive from your graduates," said Paul Greenberg at the University Continuing Education Association Marketing Conference in Sarasota, February 17. "Even though you're see as a stepchild part of the competition for student dollars, with a good CRM approach and a great alumnus experience, life-long learning can be low hanging fruit."
Paul, the best selling author of CRM at the Speed of Light, 3rd Edition, keynoted the seminar of around 250 university related adult education marketing pros. "Of course, the difficulty is that you have an uneven relationship with those alumni. For some part of their lives they aren't of much return value to you, yet you have to retain some sort of relationship with them nonetheless."

Dr. Tanner New Book on 'The Hard Truth About Soft Selling, Restoring Pride and Purpose to the Sales Profession.
NEW YORK, January 2006 - Dr. Jeff Tanner introduces a new book, co-authored with George Dudley entitled, 'The Hard Truth about Soft Selling, Restoring Pride and Purpose to the Sales Profession.'
The book focuses on the sales profession's misguided focus on "soft selling" techniques that Tanner and Dudley claim have led to the creation of professional visitors, not salespeople. Ron Wagley, president and CEO of Transamerica, says "Dudley and Tanner make a major contribution in their defense of selling as an honorable profession." For CRM advocates, the message is clear. "Making relationships is not all warm and fuzzy - sales goals still have to be met, but you can sell with integrity, close deals, and still develop the right kinds of relationships," says Tanner.
